Timbermark Opens European Subsidiary

Timbermark has opened a new distribution centre in the EU. The warehouse, which has been operational since the autumn of last year, is near Bruges in Belgium. It is Timbermark’s response to the increased time and bureaucracy associated with exporting to the EU from the UK since Brexit.

Timbermark has customers in countries across the EU including Hungary, Slovakia, Latvia, Belgium and France. A distributor of Timbermark’s popular Sojet thermal inkjet (TIJ) printers in Portugal complained that, following the changes to UK-EU trading relations just over a year ago, it was taking up to two months to receive goods, which had previously arrived in less than two weeks.

A European warehouse was an obvious solution. Belgium is easily reachable via road and rail, being just a few hours away via the Eurotunnel or Eurostar train services.

The centre holds stock of the Sojet and Bentsai range of TIJ printers as well as ink and spares, which are all delivered direct to Belgium from Timbermark’s Chinese suppliers.

Customers can order on the www.t-mark.eu website and orders are usually dispatched the next day to any European destination. The UK office offers a similar service for all domestic orders placed on the website.

2022 is Timbermark’s 18th year of trading. In that time the company has broadened its range of products to embrace high-resolution printing with TIJ machines that can print onto any substrate.
