Log accounting at the stock of raw timber

The system is intended for online gathering, storage and processing of operating data about the quantity and volume of logs that are accumulated in the woodyard. This is an additional module” woodyard” to the main log sorting program LogSorting.

Sorted logs are piled to be fed in a sawmill. Logs entering the sawmill from the said pile are automatically copied from it. As a result, it is possible in real-time to keep track of information about the quantity and volume of logs that are stocked in each pile of woodyard.

There is a possibility to manually adjust the parameters (log adding and uploading, control). Being controlled all further calculations about piles are held on the basis of these data.

System applications:

Forming of database about sorted logs, logs feed-in sawmill and logs piled in the woodyard.
Information on each pile separately: how many logs were sorted, cut, uploaded and manually added.
Two modes of operation: user –operation mode and editing mode (allows to correct the parameters of piles: adding, uploading and control.
Reports about woodyard: current state and report for the period
System adjustment and storage system.

The database format is Microsoft SQL Server. The viewing, data editing and reports printing via the web interface in any internet browser.

The main program window is shown below. It is the main form to display the current pile’s state, printing and manual editing. The window shows the information on each pile separately: name, percentage of piles filling(based on its maximum volume), the number of logs and their volume.

Besides the current state of the piles, you can also get a report for a certain period.

For correct program work it is necessary to make a series of settings:

correspond each pile with species;
set the parameter “maximum volume of the pile” in cubic meters, it is necessary for the correct displaying in table form the main graphic element of pile filling ( percentage of the maximum volume of the pile).

It is also important to properly configure the sorting table of the software (LogSorting), all the logs passing through must be corresponded with the wanted pile.
